Who it's for
FoLix tends to work best for early to moderate thinning. Most clients notice less shedding first, then new growth over three to six months, and results build over a series of sessions. Areas that have been fully bald for years usually no longer have active follicles to work with, and scarring or patchy hair loss needs a dermatologist’s diagnosis first.
FoLix’s FDA clearance covers lighter to medium skin tones. If you have a deeper skin tone, we’ll talk through your options and the right settings at your consultation.
How it works
FoLix uses a 1565 nm non-ablative fractional laser to create tiny, evenly spaced treatment zones in the scalp. The skin’s natural repair response around those zones is thought to help wake up weakened follicles and support new growth. Some clients notice extra shedding for a short time after starting. Those are hairs that were already near the end of their growth cycle, and it usually settles within a few weeks.
FoLix is a laser treatment on its own. At Instinct, it can also be paired with Keravive scalp treatments and scalp microneedling with growth factors as part of a hair restoration program.
